24th Sep - Gold Coast Nite Out - Who's Coming?
OK. 24th September - a week tonight - this coming Saturday - a nite out is planned for any Gold Coasters wanting to meet up for a quiet chat and a wee drink. Anyone is welcome, male or female- but I will be alone as hubby will be baby sitting. O'Malleys Irish Bar on Surfers was I think the bar people had spoken of (correct me if I am wrong) - is this fine for a meeting place? Can we get a head count?

Hi Colette, wish we could be there but dont arrive until 14th October. I notice you are in Coomera, thats where we are looking to settle and hopefully get the girls into Upper Coomera State College.
Whats it like in Upper Coomera for socialising, any good pubs?

Yes, The Lost City is quite good. Can take family too, which is nice. It's 2 mins away from me - gets busy this way on a Saturday night though. My boys are at Upper Coomera State College and Coomera Kids Kindy and after school care (next door). They are happy there. We have a very reasonably priced 4 bed rental here - would like to move to Helensvale or the Reserve Road slightly more spacious side of Upper Coomera, and eventually up the mountain - probably Eagle Hights, but will need to work up to those. But here is fine - Coles just opening up next month too at the end of my street - so that will be handy. Yes, I think it's a good 1st place to start untill you get to know other areas. Family area, fairly quiet most times and small (but old) pool/gym other end of my street. Good place to set up innitially I reckon!

Hi there!
Hubby and I definitely up for it, not that we don't enjoy each others company but keen to chat to and meet others! We went and had a look round that Coomera gym but have decied to try and do more out door stuff like running (haven't been yet!) and cycling (haven't got a bike!!). All good intentions!

7pm at O'Malleys - (hopefully on balcony overlooking beach!) I will be wearing fabled purple fluffy poncho! (that will beam bad taste and scream to the fashion police all over surfers!) - but at least you'll all recognise me! LOL!
