Yep, congratulations from me also.

I just had a look at that list of beaches and that just about covers the British Islands, doesn't it. I noticed that the Giants Causeway wasn't listed but I reckon because that has a bad left break. Its murder on Surfers when the wind comes off Scotland :-)

I looked at that list also, I was amazed to see Ballyholme beach. that was where I lived as a kid. I used to swim in the sea there every summer day as a nipper, up until about 16. Never got sick once. Though I do remember the occasional condom, and 'floater', but I assumed they were of the canine variety. (the floaters, not the condoms, before anyone says).

Feeling slightly queasy thinking about it now though :( . Do they really have to point this stuff out to us? It used to be a hell of alot worse than it is now, everywhere pumped raw sewage into the sea.

Another disgusting fact (possibly myth) I learnt as a kid: all the water you drink has passed through at least 7 animals, including humans. Well, really, do you want to know that?

The only safe stuff is beer,
Cheers,
JTL
