Default 2 questions - Greedy!!!

How does the cost of buying a house in Perth compare to UK prices. eg decent semi = ?£200,000 where I am in UK.

Would there be a cost involved if someone in AU was to sponsor someone in UK for emigration?

Probably cheaper in Perth

Depends on the visa involved.

Charges are levied on the visa applicant (and to an extent the assurer) rather than the sponsor.

Cost of housing depends on where you want to live. Search the forum for suburb recommendations then try here

Real Estate

On our skilled independant visa our assuror had to lodge a $5000 bond and agree to fund any claims we made if we bludged the dole. of course we gave them the money. We get the bond back after 2 years

It was a 139 visa actually!! (skilled sponsored designated area) As Jaj said there are heaps of visa classes, check here www.dimia.com.au for a good starting point.

You can look at Perth property prices here http://www.realestate.com.au/cgi-bin...g=&cu=&snf=ras

A semi over here is often called a duplex or a townhouse (these can be 2,3 or more linked together.)

This link has some detached houses in Perth
