16 year old daughter, work/college/apprentiship
Anyone have any advice on what my daughter should do with herself in Adelaide with regards her future career?
Leaves school in June and fancies the idea of an apprentiship in hairdressing with college day release. Is this feasible and is it fact or fiction that hairdressers are in big demand and can earn good money or should she become a brickie?
She did want to train as a Secretary at first but said that was boring after being told she could earn good money in Oz as a hairdresser and it being a girly thing.
Would another year in school be any good (sixth form) to meet new friends?
Ideas, advice anyone ?

Hi there,
16 is a bit of a difficult age to come over. The kids would have left school in the UK, but wouldnt be old enough to leave school here until at least the december, so in theory they cant go to TAFFE.
Check out the websites of some of the schools and maybe drop them an email just to check out how the 'land lies'
