1471 in Australia?????????

1471 in Australia?????????
Hi
Silly question but is there an equivalent to 1471 in the UK??? We were in the garden today and heard the phone ring, by the time we got there the phone had stopped - in the UK we could just dial 1471 to get information about the last caller - is there an equivalent here????
Thanks hugely as it will save us running for the phone every time we hear it (although it may well increase the cost of our phone bill!!!)

U think its *10# , but its not as good as 1471 - check the front of the white pages phone book, should be in there but I can't find ours!!!
Trouble is, it often just says "this is a private number" or "this is a mobile" - apparently most residential numbers aren't get-at-able by it, even if they aren't ex-directory (or silent,a s they call it here). Unless its a busness,you're pretty much on a loser.

Thanks for replying - renting at the moment without a white pages (i'm assuming this is like Yellow Pages). About to go and phone myself with my mobile and check if it works!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How sad is that?!?!?!?

Yeah, White Pages is the equivalent of our UK normal phone book - residential stuff. Yellow Pages is - guess what - like our yellow pages!
