Default 139 visa...form 40

Going for a 139 visa,no agent involved, filled in the 47sk and onto the form 40.I'm using a retired uncle in a designated area ( Townsville VIC.) to sponsor me, but I also have a cousin, not his son, who lives in Perth WA who said if I need an assurance bond he would put it through for me. Does this sound right or will I have to put my uncle in Townsville down as the assurerer? Also is it OK to use my uncle to sponsor us on the 139 visa but for us to live in Perth WA when/if we get there??

Yes your assurer can be a different person...doesnt even need to be a family member. With regards where u stay I cant answer that because this visa has changed since we got it, I am sure the info will be on the DIMMA website...good luck

Hi just joined today. We are going for a 139 visa, have not started process yet but already cannot sleep. We visited my Aunt last Easter and she said at the time she would sponsor us, didnt mention assurance bond which we would be happy to put up. I understand that the 139 is changing in June 2006 so I want to lodge my application before then. My husband is British Army which complicates things as he cannot leave until Sep 2007. We are going with my skills as a Chartered Surveyor although I am already worried about the start of the process which will be my skill ass. If you can give me any advice I would be so grateful.
