Hi Lolly,

Imagine a small square box with each side 12 inches/300mm long, 120 cubic feet is the amount of space occupied if you had exactly 120 of them all piled up together.
Hope this helps get your head around it......

A container is about 8ft x 8 ft by 20 ft

So each foot of container fits 8x8 = 64cft so 120cfg is about 2ft worth of a standard container

thanks for all the info... much appreciated.

Ive tried the bed test and took clothes and laid them on the bed...

probably will need about 5-6 boxes.

Would they drop of x amount of boxes and only charge you for the ones you use?

regards

All groupage shipments are based on volume and not weight, as long the goods are manhandleable. Amplifiers and the speakers will be fine!!

Hope this helps.

This may make things worse.... but, we got Crown in for a quote. I thought they were great. Andrew Healy asked what we intend to take and we toured the hpuse pointing out what we wanted, he made notes of size and depth etc,. we then got two quotes one with car and one without.
With respect to all the others who suggested ways to equate what your 120 cu ft relates to..I suggest you imagine having 10 boxes each being 12 x 12 x 12 and shuffle them about!
Another thought is ..Crown will pack and crate your stuff and the final tally will be the size of their packing crates.

Sorry if I added confusion!
