12 hours per week

My son will turn 18 as we apply to dimia and i think we need to fill in another form.
He is in full time education but does work 12 hours a week, would his 12 hours mean he is not a dependant or will we have to prove he is dependant and if so how do we prove it, i am getting fam allowance for him as long as he does not work more than the 12 hours stated. Bit confused, please help.
Lol

Hi Lol,
my daughter was 19 and had a part time job while at college. I sent the award notice for family allowance, her p60, list of expenses I paid for her,(sent some receipts I had for books and equipment etc I had bought) also listed what money I gave her and what I provided, eg food, clothing, housing etc, letter advising her that she had a place at college and proof that she stayed at the family home address, (I sent copies of letters received here for her), and icluded her notification of award from SAS. I also sent info from the student awards agency that stated parents were obliged to contribute to support their child if that child was not independent of them. Maybe sent a bit much, but she was accepted as a dependent and was granted her visa with mine. Hope this helps,

Thanx for that, it is only spending money. We still have to pay for everything else. Cheers...Lol
