Britz... Hmmm bit disappointed with them. Just got back from NZ and a Britz South Island Rental....
Wing mirror glass fell off
GPS power lead did not work (not blown fuse)
And worse...windscreen wipers did not work on normal speed (anyone that has driven around western south island knows that it rains just about every day)
This adds to when we rented with them in Sydney:
CD Player did not work
Bed was broken
Aux battery for fridge, lights, etc completely duff
and other stuff
So I know its nothing to do with your thread, but Britz are a top price company and not 'Wicked Campers' I shall be trying somebody else in future.

Maybe go for the budget alternative next time....we just rented with Backpacker campervans in NZ, same company as Britz & Maui....I think the Backpackers are just high mileage examples retired from the premium brands...our van was great!

Great holidays, but both times we have had a tired Britz, it would have been better going for the cheaper Backpacker

I could see it had previously had Maui markings on it but no sign of Britz.

Shopping Malls - To get away with spending little you can hit the food courts in any of the shopping malls at around closing time and grab a dinner or three for a fraction of the cost.
Is that right? Never noticed myself but then I'm rarely in a shopping mall at closing time.
RSL’s – There's hardly a town or suburb in Australia without a local RSL club (known as the “aarry”). You'll always find cheap and cheerful meals and cheap drinks in a truly local venue.
I've never heard anyone call an RSL an aarry

Jan (often seen in shopping centres at closing time AND gets sad when the vacuums come out and the roller doors are half down )
