10 Pound Pome
I am writing a article on the 10 pound pome and chasing any information about this era in our history, I would like photos of the families, the ships or planes they arrived on, tickets brochures etc if anyone could forward any information where I may get such items.

Re: 10 Pound Pome
We came in August 1966. We flew. The only thing I have is our travel document which has come in very useful over the years. Don't think I have many photos either. Certainly none of the hostel.

We are both 10 pound poms ...I flew over with Qantas and Vince sailed ...so very much has changed over the years, it was so easy to emigrate. So sorry, no pics left

Can I ask you guys that have been here for so long what you make of us, the current crop of immigrants? Do you think many of us could have hacked it back in the 1960s? Do you think we've got it easy, or tough? Genuinely interested in knowing what you think.

Found this a bit back, it's not all that fabulous but it's quite interesting to see that some of the comments in it are probably still valid now.
