I have completed a 3 year, full-time BA (hons) in Primary Education and Teaching with Qualified Teaching Status in the UK. I have discovered that to teach in Oz I will need to complete a further 1 year of full-time study. This doesn't necessarily need to be related to teaching as I already have my degree in teaching. I will be coming to Australia sometime in the next year on a 176 visa (permanent residency) and would really appreciate any info from anyone who has been in the same boat and could recommend any 1 year courses at university level in the Brisbane area (give or take an hour or so drive in any direction). If anyone knows if I could do 2 post grad certificates (6 months duration each, one here and one in Oz) I would really appreciate your advice as that is an option for me (it would work out cheaper financially for me that way).
