I wonder if there is a correlation between the election opinion polls and the exchange rate?

....and a continuing drop in the GBP/AUD rate is most likely also as the selloff in Sterling continues.
Expected Forex range today in the GBP/AUD rate of 1.6900 to 1.7075

I am expecting a bankers draft..in Pounds.. but the thing is that I will lose so much converting it into dollars..I have no bank account in the UK now .. but will be going there for three weeks in June. What I wanted to ask is.. could I open a UK account.. How do I do it over here? Or do you think I should wait until I go over and open an account then.. It will make it easier foe me to pay for hotel etc as I have no idea how much I will need and do not want to take too many pounds..as will have to change them back again when I get back..anyone??

Admittedly that was before we had to fast track in order to get our visas within an acceptable time. Our original plan was to settle in Sydney. You guys and gals who settled and transferred your assets over there a year or more ago were soooo fortunate. You had none of this shite to deal with.

If you are only going for three weeks, maybe 'front loading' your credit card is an option.

If it's a small amount take it back to the UK and either make it over to a friend or take it to the bank and negotiate. Opening an account there might be tricky with no address.
