What is going on in the UK these days? IS there any plan by BoE to raise interest rate? Or re-open the coal mine shut down by Maggie? That would help the pound or even stage a reversal of fortune.

UK unemployment numbers released today were reasonable and better than expected...doesn't seem to have given the pound a life though.

Might have to have a re-think with what to do with savings and how to finance car etc, but far too busy with other stuff at present
Why do you have to buy a new car?

He had run out of fire wood, and that stuff he was carrying was cheaper to keep the fire burning.

They have been round this sort of mark the last few days, I thought they were finally stabilising for a bit at least at about 1.75 - until I read this - http://www.smh.com.au/business/rba-h...ml?autostart=1 - which will probably only push them down further

I enjoyed the video commentary on that very much and agree with it wholeheartedly.

Have just purchased GBP 4,000 at a cost of A$7141.58,or 0.5601,which i found to be a pretty decent rate.
There is a fairly recent development for downloading currencey called a Travel Money Card where money can be put in when rate is high and can be done in the currencey of six nations to date and expanding to include others.
Will add more as and when rate increases. Can have more than one currencey on a card as well.

look at the £ go this morning up nearly 3cents!

that's 4 in two days!

If you selling aussie dollar and buying pounds it's now or never!!!

Don't miss out like the aussie buyers did last Oct waiting for better rates than 2.60 you know what happened!

Stockmarkets creating a new bubble and CIT bank potentially bankrupt soon - last Oct could replay yet!?
