Default £60 to courier medicals???

Hi
Hope someone can help with this one. We have booked our medicals for the end of Feb. (We applied in July last year - skilled independent and wanted to get the medicals done ready for when they were requested) Despite having done lots of phoning round and comparing costs now that we've actually booked the medicals we've been told we have to pay an extra £60 to courier them to Australia. We have an agent in the UK, can't we just be given them and then post them to him? £60 seems a lot of money to spend out...
Hope someone can help with this.
Thanks
Susan

That's about what we paid - they are couriered to the other side of the world. Not bad if you think about it.

If they go missing you will have to have the whole things done again. Just pay it - one of many costs to bear !!!!

We paid £40 for four of us. They don't want you to send them yourself in case you 'fiddle' with them!

Default cost of sending medicals

We didn't pay any extra for sending ours, the clinic sent them signed for and they arrived 6 days later.

same here, mine cost diddly squat to post, mind you we do pay enough for the meds so they should absorb the postage costs.

We are collecting our meds from doc on Thurs - he said we should post them. Called DHL today to come next Friday and it's £44.

Thanks for all the replies...we are going to ask if we can post them ourselves as it must be cheaper. It's just annoying when you do the phoning around of several places and ask for the total cost and they spring another cost on you once you have booked. Still one day when i'm on the beach in australia it will all be worth it.
