Re: £500,000 Exchange or Not
no way!
i'm not exchanging mine until 2.4 at least.
I can wait. if it takes 2 or 3 years then so be it.OZ doesn't seem the cheap option it once was,so i'm not giving all my assets for a pittance.
the difference will be a nice new shiny land rover discovery!

Yep, I loved petrol at 69 cents a litre, I could stand there all year they aint gonna sell it to me at that price again anytime soon.
Reality is now, if you want to get on with your life you have to accept whats what not what was.
Besides know poms who wouldnt change at 2.32 then 2.28 then 2.21.........

Yes of course.

I'm quite confident that house prices won't go much higher in oz,and the uk's housing market will keep up.
I'm earning good money now over here, and treating my new life down under as a sort of semi-retirement,where i won't earn as much .
so like i say " i can wait".

Sort of Sme, just that this exchange rate dillema has now thrown a new spanner in the works in that I dont want to throw away a fifth of what I have worked hard to get in the last few years.
Dont know what to do, this wasnt supposed to be the hardest part was it?
Hows things with you guys anyhow, all good I hope!

Presumably you will need some for immediate use over here so exchange some and leave the rest over there.
Hope the sale goes through.
