You said $40/hour for 40 week, that more plenty to survive in any country, any place in the planet, unless you start spending on stupid things or sleep for other days of the month.

However it can also seem like a lotto win if you're on less than $30 an hour with kids at home and only one income.

Most Australians will be earning less than $40 per hour and many substantially less.

Yep, my hubby been offered job paying about $32 an hour then going to $35 after a few months. We have 3 kids though and that will be one wage, probably for a couple of years. If I ever get there as such a worry-wort, I've got spreadsheets going and practically doing a dissertation on it all.

I can live on 113.625 an hour a day in Sunny Barmy Brisbane without the need for Cocaine but I am thinking my beer habit is almost as expensive as a Cocaine habit could ever be (monetary wise not effect wise).

Beware the tax man!

would this salary be ok for me to survive in:
brisbane
perth
or nsw
