$2.61 and rising!!
Anybody else waiting with baited breath to see where it's going to end???.

Exhanged 20k yesterday for house deposit at 2.55 - Gutted when i saw the climb today!
Still at least it was not at the April rates (sorry plumber!)

oh well.....exchanged at a now crap rate , couple that with house prices that have gone up 97% since we were there !!!!!

I have seen this term used quite a lot and have a rough idea of what it means but could you please further clarify what forward purchase means and how/who you approach to do this.

I have just had a chat with hifx in Windsor and it seems the driver behind the currency movement is some good economic news from the US, which is causing investors to bale out of what have been higher yielding currencies such as A$'s and back into US$'s.

The news also says something about oz economy not doing as good (slowing down in the 1st quater.)
