Yep, trend is set to continue and AUD2 :1GBP is just around the corner IMO. Pound is stuffed along with the UK economy and collapse in the housing market, Aussie dollar is going up as a safe haven, a commodity currency, a vibrant economy helping.

Cheers - Don

Hi Terry,

I'm sitting and staying and waiting for the Scooby snacks ...

or rather the US to get itself sorted out,

(cut and paste below)

NM Rothschild associate director of foreign exchange Paul Macarounas said the weaker US dollar was again the catalyst for the appreciation of the local currency, i.e. ozzy $,

No you are spot on it has been as low as $1.75 and even in the early 90s it was 2-1 to the pound , but what price paradise some of you mugs will buy anything?
Just borrow more for your dream ,the interest rates are higher here but debt is a lifestyle here who needs cash?

Whats the dollar on Viagra or something?

Watched some show called Australian Agenda on some Business Asia chanel. They reckon high interest rates here will keep it going up for a while yet.

Cool, I hoped to wait it out here till I could afford me little lurve shack in Hampstead London. I love that place. Still theres always Surrey if it deflates again.
