Really depends on how much cocaine you consume a week and other factors.

i think what the OP is trying to say is you need to provide more info on what your "lifestyle" is...

mansion/1 bed flat/kids/eating out/cars/women/other expenditures etc etc

$140,000 might be enough for a single person in a reasonable suburb but might not be for Tony Montana...

Income? PA?

Yeah for sure... More than enough. The average Australian income is a bit more than £50k.

I just worked out a basic budget for living in SE Qld and it works out to about £1,400 a month (about AUD$3200). It's about £10k less a year than living on our two bed flat on the Thames in London!!

This would be living in a 2,500sq ft 4 bed rental property in a gated community of 49 houses with 2x pools, spa, sauna, gym , tennis courts, remote double garage etc etc...

Syd/Mel/Bris are much dearer but $140k will certainly be plenty to have a good lifestyle...

I don't think the OP means income. But I cannot be sure.

In ADL that's a useful annual income.

But I reckon the OP means money to buy a house. In ADL that's a hefty deposit but will only buy you half a house or less.

So yes a better question please!!!?!

Many Australians would disagree.

This does amaze me though £70 is a huge wage in the UK, i do believe only around 2% of the working population earn more than this. So why does anyone think this would be a poor wage in oz.

Dont know which stats you have been reading but the average wage is something like $58k - males it is up around the $61k mark and females $55k pa.

$140k would be nicely comfortable for most folk but as the others have said, it all depends on what you plan to do with it.

Its also very common and below what people earn in the city, but that is not my point, it is WAY over the national average, and not many people in the UK would know of people earning this sum of money!

Could you move to any country in the World with this kind of salary and not be financially comfortable?
