Default $100000.00 bond. are there any risks???

Hi,

I just need to know a couple of things about the bond which gives you 5 extra points
Do you invest for 12 months only, Or could it be longer? if its longer, why would this be?
When does the 12 months begin? Is it from when you invest ithe money? Or from the date you enter Australia?

I hope someone can help.

Thanks,
KayC

It could be slightly longer, but no more than 1 month. This depends on the investment cycle of the state treasury. Mine was 2 weeks longer. They pay interest for this extra period. The 12 months begins when you invest.

Thanks for both of your replies - for some reason I had it in my head the 12 months didn't start until you entered Australia.

Its really easy to get confused with dates there are so many to remember for so many things! Good luck. The transfer of the money is a great sign you are close to a "Got it"

Thanks Mark, we are just about to send the visa application off, so we have a while yet - I just wanted to know before we sent the application.

Thanks,
KayC
