I have to, but Ive not been asked yet, medicals sent off last week, requested.

Only problem is our house is still on the market, and we need to sell to raise the cash.

Any suggestions on how I can raise the cash without selling the house would be appreciated.

You can remortgage to get equity out ? I bet if you phone your mortgage provider and say you'd like an equity release do home improvements they'll bite your bum to give it to you .
(then forget to do the house improvements)

Hello
We applied march 2004 and sent medicals off in march05. We got the request for the money in April but had until June 16th to pay. House hadn't moved so we went to the bank. Changed our mortgage lender and borrowed the extra on it. Paying extra £300 a month but we had the sense to pay the car off as well and the usual car payment covers the extra money on our mortgage. It cost us £42,016.82 on 7th June
If you do this remember that you can only take a one with no tie in period and also no early repayment premium
Good luck

HIFX. The deal was struck on June 16th at 2.35 $/₤ - their advertised rate on the day was 2.37 but you don't ever get the advertised rate.
