I think you will have a long, long wait for that. I can't see that happening in the medium term and by medium I mean the next three years.

Just found out that if you order via bookdepository.com instead of .co.uk, the prices are even cheaper !

The order I placed on Tuesday for 3 paperbacks, worked out at GBP16.31 after 10% discount. Using the .com website it comes to only GBP13.69.

A long time I think, if at all. It's mainly sentimental expats that seem to think it should naturally belong at that level.

2.4 September 2010.

2.5 is a little optimistic

I think you'll see further downward pressure. Britain is suffering big time (as you well know). Until the massive debt has been reduced and the economy picks up this is only going to move further south - sorry.

This is ridiculous.

$49.99 at Borders for an Australian published book.

or

Why the shock?. Australia has protectionist policies regarding the sales of books. Its well know and something that they are currently considering removing.

or £11.24 at Borders UK

You'd think the same company would have similar pricing ... If they could...

Especially such a large American book company...

But... Borders Australia appears the highest price in Australia
$40.50 Shearers Bookshop Sydney
$38.98 Fishpond.com.au

Yet the lowest price in the UK..
£13.49 www.bookdepository.uk
£11.99 www.bookdepository.com
£11.24 www.borders.co.uk

There is some bizarre law in Aus that says the shops have to buy their books from wholesalers. Which is a complete rort. The continued over pricing of books here is even more bizarre given that you can cheaply import them, that the government want children to read more and that the libraries are so good (where I live anyway).

The .com website does not have the 10% discount option

Therefore The Twilight Saga is either :
£36.12 with no discount or
£36.29 with the 10% discount
