Default I Guess That I Should Say Goodbye

Evening!
I know that I will dip in and out of BE AND I know that I have been a rubbish poster over the years but I do feel that some closure is in order. We have left Italy and have no plans to return. We went for work, it was fab whilst it lasted but we always knew when it would end.
So, I won't miss much about Italy but I will miss my friends. The children are really happy to be back in their own language - even though they went to an International School. We can walk to school, they play at the park by themselves, we can have fish and chips by the sea whenever we want. The list is endless at the moment. One thing I will miss when the time comes are the bright winter afternoons.
There were times when BE saved my sanity but most of the time I came to BE for a chuckle and you rarely let me down
So thank you all
xx

Hi. Good to hear everything's going OK and that the children are happy. I think you'll find the long days in midsummer make up for the shortage of bright afternoons in winter.

Thanks for writing and good luck!

It might also be interesting to know how you get on with re-adjusting...as an ex-expat!

cheers

So sorry I'm so very late to your leaving party. I guess by now that the antipasti and the prosecco are finished. Serves me right. So glad to hear that everything is going well, especially for the kids. Not fair of you to mention fish & chips .... castigo for that ! Don't leave us forever. We'd like you to pop in sometimes. You never know what you might be able to bring to a new member ....... apart from the fact that we liked you and would be sorry to see you go forever.

Arriverderci and not goodbye xxx
