Default Gelato-gate

I've only just heard about this by reading this article in the guardian (and a similar one one on the BBC website).

‘Gelatogate’: Italian gossip mag in row over lewd photo of ice cream-eating MP

Maybe I'm watching the wrong TG and reading the wrong papers?

A picture of an MP eating an ice cream in a car with her husband has caused an uproar? Even assuming than some of the salaciousness has been lost in translation, this seems like a pretty over-blown story.

That was back in Oct/Nov. It was the caption, 'ci as fare con il gelato' that caused the row.

So there was something lost in translation? ..... Is something about an ice-cream a euphemism for fellatio in Italian?

I had been gobbling down ice cream lately but now that I'm on a diet, due palle is quite a mouthful for me.

Happy New Year!

Is that another euphemism?
