like you I have a problem with this, when i was younger if it was said that someone was a lesbian (or a homesexual) then I was prepared to accept the bald statement of their sexual leanings.
but to hide it under the simple word of "gay" is irresponsible and actually, to my mind, not telling the truth.
So I would say to the OP - are you a lesbian and are looking to enter that element of local participation ?
Or are you just happy, want to mix with people who have no leanings in either direction, just enjoy a night out with a few drinks.
Hijacking the English Language should be a punishable offence - but it is more likely to get you mentioned in despatches

So, are we becoming a homosexual dating forum? I don't go for the word 'gay' either in this context.

The English Language has been hijacked - words that used to mean one thing now mean another, although this isn't reflected in any dictionary, just by "common useage".

I have no problems with people and their sexuality - the homosexuals I know, eat and drink with, I find to be more private than hetrosexuals and would never come out on an open website making bald statements.
so you select me and not others making similar comment
sounds a bit like profiling here
so now start snapping at the others

Hi Clint thankyou I will definitely check this out on Sunday, I am trying out Rhabar on Saturday, that's really useful information thankyou. Onnono and linseed oil not that I opened this thread to ask your opinion on the context of which the word gay is used or to ask anyones opinion on gay people (homosexual people if you prefer) in general, it's been noted, you've had your attention so shall we stop ranting now, I think we get what you mean, if you want to start ranting why don't you open your own thread instead of boycotting mine. I opened this thread, joined this website in fact to make new friends and socialise. You haven't made enough impact to even offend me so far but you are boring me now so whatever you want to write in future I'm not even going to even give clarity to your meaningless and unhelpful posts by responding. I have every faith you'll be booted off here soon anyway if you carry on so I'll leave you pair of bigots to it. Thanks
any way on closing I hope you find happiness in Italy and I shal not rain on your parade again have a good time and veven a gay time bye oplease forgive me for being old and set in my ways bye

There's a gay in our village. He's all happy and smiling and saying hello to everyone and has a really well kept garden and bakes cakes for everyone but generally keeps to himself. What a bastard eh? We're gonna lynch him!
