Should i bother?
Hello just wondering if anyone had any advice. I'm a UK citizen married to a South African citizen i travel about 4 to 5 times a year to see her but now would like to stay longer than than 3 months visitor visa or at least get a Temp relatives resident permit my problem is i have a conviction 25 years ago which resulted in a small fine. I'm i wasting my time in applying for a visa as all applications are blocked no matter what conviction. I emailed Home affairs but not had a reply so maybe i am without hope. The only thing i can do is just go back every few months which isn't great leaving her i know it's my own fault but any constructive comments would help thank you...

If they don't know about it, they won't worry about it.
Or you could just point out that their own president is a corrupt rapist, so why worry?

And the 2nd point - he was found not guilty, so obviously he is completely innocent on all counts....a fine, morally upstanding representive of this great rainbow nation..
I wonder what HIS police clearance certificate would say?

Did my post appear sarcastic? I apologise...although he's no master of mine, I didn't vote for him (couldn't if I wanted to) but I'm already marshalling my troops for an Egyptian-style overthrow.... who's with me?

Me me!!! Kick those useless tonsils out of there and start the process over again. Do you think we can disassemble the military's union before we do the takeover? It would be a beech trying to negotiate with Union leaders and cause political havoc.

Re: Should i bother?
Hi Sorry to jump on your thread-
was wondering if anyone could help me as I have a reprimand from when I was 17 and itll be stepped down in 3 years time, which is when Im hoping to apply for either a study or a work permit (most probably a study permit) for South Africa and I know my police clearance would come back as no live trace,
Would they accept me or not?
Many thanks!

Don't forget, we also have two high court judges being investigated, one is for trying to influence the high court judges and the other is for drink driving and racist comments.

And now, the drager breathalyzer machine has been deemed unreliable, so everyone who has been caught with one of these, despite the odds (offered but refused bribes, actually getting their details taken correctly and stopped by cops not hiding in bushes or sleeping off their KFCs) is going to have their cases thrown out - despite, in most cases, being so drunk they couldn't stand up. Once again the legal system is a gold-plates, diamond encrusted ass.
