I have seen posts on this subject but cant find them anymore.
I have been contacted for a job in Nigeria its a fairly high end job.
I would like to know.
1. is it safe now
2. I have Children 5 and 14. Both boys what are the schools like?
3. My wife is a Tennis Coach. Will she find clients.
Which areas are best for living and are there any compounds.
All comments welcome

Could be, the OP doesn't give enough information to go on. There have been "job offer" scams coming out of Nigeria. They usually involve asking for payments to arrange the visas and work permits etc - costs that are normally covered by the employer - and I've also heard of people being invited to Lagos for fictitious interviews, exposing them to the risk of kidnap for ransom.
I know a few people who have worked in Nigeria. Most of them have either been employed on security consulting assignments in the oil and gas industry, or working as expatriates - single status contracts - with foreign corporates offering good terms and conditions. I reckon it's doable, but it would be very challenging if you're not used to this sort of environment, and the risk exposures are significant. I wouldn't take a wife and kids in country with me.

The Muslim North is a no go area for Europeans at this time . Lagos is very safe, Rivers state is safe but avoid the creeks. The youths at the creeks are not wicked but hungry so they do anything for money. May not kill you but would kidnap for ransom .
