Moving to UK with SA kids
#1

Hi, my name is Roxanne. I'm a British Citizen by descent and planning to move to the UK soon. I want to take my two South African kids with me, but I'm not sure which visa to apply for regarding them. They're both under the age of 18. Can anyone help?

Have you investigated whether the children may be eligible for registration as British citizens?
Regarding visas - is there a spouse who will also be moving?

Hi there, as I am a Brit citizen by descent (mum is a Brit citizen) I didn't think they would be eligible for any other registration. As far as I know, an ancestral visa isn't applicable for children under the age of 18. My fiance will be joining me but at a later stage, fiancially it's a bit of a big move. My parents and my brother live in the UK.

Would this post not be better in the "Citizenship" slot on the Uk pages ?

For visa, have you looked at the child visa?
Is the child's father around, he may have to give consent, etc.
