Default Anyone transited through Ghana lately?

I know some West African countries (customs) can be a real pain.. looking for backhanders at the mere hint of something of value in your personal luggage.
  • On a visit (say 4 weeks) what's the deal with taking in/out personal electronic goods such as Laptops , Phones?
  • What's the local currency of preference for dealing in cash - customs, shops, bars, hotels?

Any input would be appreciated.

No issues of laptops and phones for personal use. Get converted your $ into Local cedis 1.5 Rate and you can deal with it . Staying in Ghana now
