Which Oz accounting body is best?
Hi,
Can anyone in the know, rank the following 3 Oz accounting bodies based on:
Which is the most preferred by employers / recruitment agencies / recruiters in Australia?
and,
Which is the most recognised globally?
1. Institute of Chartered Accountants ICAA (www.icaa.com.au)
2. Cerified Practicing Accountants CPA (www.cpaaustralia.com.au)
3. National Institute of Accountants (www.nia.org.au) (
I can't seem to figure this out despite reading through their sites quite a number of times.

Most preferred by employers:
1. CA
2. CPA (difference is marginal)
3. PNA (NIA professional designation, significant gap to CA/CPA even though since 2005 the academic standard is not so different to PNA).
Global recognition:
1. CA
2. CPA
3. PNA
