Hello,

Can somebody please explain me how does CPA works. I know the eligibility requirement, it has two stages and 14 papers etc etc. What I want to know is:

1. When can I give exam for foundation level? Is it any time by booking a slot at Pearson or is there any specific date and month when the exam can be conducted?

2. Are all the foundation level exam computer based?

3. How does the pass and fail status works.

4. What are the cost involved, i.e., membership, registration, exam fee etc and how much are they.

The purpose here is I was considering to send my application to CPA for 189 assessment. I am highly likely sure that CPA would send me recommendation for further studies from CPA foundation level. Another option I have is to complete my CIMA exams (4 papers remaining) but the concern is I can only give those exams twice a year in a fixed decided period by CIMA. Moreover, I am sure they are much more difficult then CPA foundation level. Can somebody please answer my questions and/or provide any suggestion on my situation?
