Default CPA-AUS OR USA

Hi,

I have finished my CMA (IMA). Currently I am working in the Gulf. I want to check-CPA(Aus) or CPA(USA)-which one is more beneficial and why? We cant appear in CPA(USA) from Dubai but for CPA(Aus) it is possible-correct?

CPA (USA), most of the time.

Jaj, thanks for your reply. After completing my CPA(USA), if I want to do CA(Aus), will I get some benefit of CPA(USA) or some exemptions etc.?

You may be eligible to become an Australian CA based on mutual recognition if you meet some additional requirements, eg having a license to practice in a U.S. state.

Jaj, I have one more question- If I go for CPA(Aus) (Which I can do from Dubai also-cost effective), is it going to help me in CA(Aus) in terms of any exemption in subjects or exepmtion in mentor traning?

I don't think Aus CPA would be of any benefit to becoming an Australian CA. But if you were going to be living just in Australia that would not be much of a problem as CPA would normally be enough.

Dear All,

Considering the cost involved in doing CPA(USA), what is the next best alternative (Except CA). Any suggestions?

Thanks

Vic

If you are planning to live in Australia, do CPA (Australia).

If planning to go somewhere else, maybe something different.

COST OF AUST. CPA - Dhs 15,000 - 17,000 [ Study Mat + Exam ]
COST OF US CPA - Dhs. 33,000 - 45,000 ( 45 if you buy study mat from more than 1 source ).
US CPA cost includes Study Mat + Exam + Membership + Travel & US Stay for Exam .
If you intend to use CPA Aust. in US then you need to pass only the US IQEX This, only if you had completed your Bachelors / Graduation from Australia ; else, you have to attempt all 4 papers - AICPA Guidlines.
