Hollywood Fred Meyer has added a 4' section of British groceries. We found Bovril, Marmite biscuits, Heinz beans and spaghetti tins, some drinks, tinned puddings, pickled onions and more. Prices are steep, as ever.

Interstate Fred Meyer (and maybe others in the city) are stocking Strongbow and several other import 'proper' ciders this year.

Coleman's mustard can be purchased in jumbo tins for less than $6 at the United Grocers Cash and Carry stores.

There is a terrific pie man at the Saturday Market http://www.portlandsaturdaymarket.com/ (March-December under the Burnside Bridge). There is a British shop next to the [Horse Brass Pub]http://www.horsebrass.com/?page_id=374 (owned by them) on SE Belmont at 45th.

Public transportation is provided by Trimet (bus, lightrail train) and the Portland Streetcar system.

The Visitor's Association has a new name and new website; a great way to get plugged into Portland essentials: http://www.travelportland.com/
