Memphis has an "International Airport" 'Memphis International Airport' (IATA code: MEM); although the number of direct inbound flights from Europe is limited. The major regional carrier is North West Airlines but most of the big American companies have shuttle service to the major hubs.

Memphis is at the crossroads of 1-40 ( major East-West interstate) and I-55 (major North - South interstate)

Memphis is famous for its Barbeque. There is the World Famous 'Rendezvous' restaurant in down town Memphis. Memphis also hosts the 'World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest' as part of Memphis in May celebrations

Memphis is famous for being the home of Elvis and 'Graceland is a very popular tourist attraction. It is also the home of 'Beale Street' which is one of the South's hottest night spots and home of the Blues, 'Sun Studios' were a number of famous Musicians got their start and the 'National Civil Rights Museum'
