[edit] How to get there

• The major road routes are I-95, I-495, I-90 (The Mass Pike) and Rt 9
  
• Logon Airport The big airport, parking is a bit of a nightmare though, alternative airports include Manchest Airport in NH which is a short hop away.
  
• MBTA The public transport network which includes the commuter rail, train, bus and the T (The underground service). This is a good way of getting around the state, not particulary expensive, with the added bonus of not having to worry about parking. The trains, buses and tube are regular, though the commuter rail is patchy, also the public transport tends to shut down quite early, usually a littler after midnight, which leaves the taxis which aren't cheap.

• Joe's American Bar and Grill
  

A small chain randomly around the state. It has a pub feel, nice setting for family meals, great selection of food with good portions and great prices, especially the baby back ribs. The drinks, nice collection of cocktails, and prices listed with them, which is nice...and drinks on tap are seasonal, and has a great collection, around $4.50 a pint.

• Oga's
  

A great little Japanese sushi place in Natick, on Rt 9. Very unassuming from the outside by appearance, but the food is fantastic, great atmosphere, and superb prices, sushi around $3-6 a set, and meals for $10-15.

• Stones Public House
  

Located in Ashland, just by the railway tracks on Main Street. It's a lovely pub with a nice atmosphere, great collection of beers on tap, and lovely food, they even do chips with curry sauce, which isn't listed on the menu. They also often have live bands playing with no cover charge.

• Lotus Blossom
  

There are four restaurants that are family owned in and around the Metrowest area, but the Lotus Blossom in Sudbury is a must, on Rt 20. The lunch buffet has a fantastic selection and the quality of the meals on menu is impressive, and the prices are particularly good. The service is top quality. This place is rated as the best place to eat Chinese food outside of Boston's China Town. There is also ample parking out the back.

• JFK Memorial Library
  

An interesting building, and a place well worth a visit for families, has good facilities, and it's something a little different to see, just outside of Boston.

• The Natick Mall
  

This place is huge and has a massive range of stores, especially designer labels. Parking, there is a lot, but it is always busy on the weekends, and especially bad around Christmas, so the valet parking is worth the money, found on the Nordstrom's side of the mall. Metropolitan Bar & Grill is a great place to eat whilst there if you prefer to avoid the food court and want a proper sit down meal, the prices are very good.

• Wrentham Outlet Mall
  

Out in Wrentham, just off the I-495. It is worth a visit, this place is huge and has a massive variety of stores and labels with fantastic deals. You could easily spend a couple of days going through this place looking for bargains. Parking is pretty good, can be a bit busy on holidays, but there is ample parking. There are also a few places to eat near by the mall.
