BritishExpats.com and Moneycorp are working together to find ‘the face’ of the typical British expat.
This doesn’t mean we’re looking for British Expats’ next top model.
We are actually looking to develop an information profile on Brits who relocate overseas. We want to find out where people are moving – and why. We also want to find out things like the average age of an expat and what they might like to know about foreign exchange.
Once we have collated all of this information, we’ll share it with you via the British Expats web forum. You will also be able to ask Moneycorp questions about the research itself, as well as any queries you might have relating to foreign exchange.
The last time Moneycorp carried out similar research (in June 2010), their survey highlighted that Australia was the most popular destination for people relocating and buying property abroad, and that the majority of emigrants moving down under were aged between 35 and 44. It showed that the most common reasons for moving were job-related, followed closely by the desire for a lifestyle change. The research also revealed that 86% of first time buyers expected to get more for their money overseas...
We are now trying to find out how all this has changed over the last 12 months; so we really hope you can spare a few minutes to complete our short online survey. As a thank you, we’ll enter you into a special prize draw – giving you the chance to win £100 in the currency of your choice.
