The traditional and stereotypical view of the Australian Lifestyle is that of playing at the beach and throwing another prawn (shrimp) on the barbie. However there's a lot more to it than that.
The stereotypes come from the fact that the Australian climate and weather facilitates outdoor activities. Also, due to the location of fresh water, almost all of Australia's population lives within an hour or two of the ocean, and hence the beach.
The reality is that Australia is vast and diverse, offering a wide variety of lifestyles and opportunities.
