Radio station management/ Radio Presenter / Mobile Disco DJ

Hi All,

I am experienced in all of the above. I currently run a small UK radio station and have my own mobile disco business.

I am considering a move to Spain, somewhere between Albir and Calpe. Does anyone have any knowledge of the radio set up on the Costa Blanca and the potential for work?

I have a wealth of experience but know that the employment market at the moment is dire. What I do have on my side, is determination, excellent work ethic and tons of practical experience in this field.

I also have my own mobile disco business. Is there much work around for this? I would like to bring my disco set up out with me, but I'm wondering is the bar DJ scene just turn up with a laptop and play or do the bars want a full and professional set up, with led lights, laser and sound system supplied?

How and where do hotels go about finding entertainment of this nature? Are the hotel 'DJ's' all employed as part of the dreaded animation teams or will they consider outside suppliers?

Finally what sort of rates are standard Bar/Hotel DJ's charging, versus full mobile disco suppliers?

Any advice on either roles would be gratefully received.

Claire
