Default NACE/BGAS/FROSIO etc. Inspectors

What's the demand like? Is it saturated now? Looking for potential opportunities in near future and wondering where in the world it will lead to!

the industry is totally saturated with nace inspectors. bgas/cswip is a much better qualification but there seems to be a lot of inexperienced people hiding behind the nace qualification.

Is that based on first hand experience? Here in the UK every man and his dog has BGAS/CWSIP Site Inspector, which I consider a basic qualification. On the flip side, every man and his dog in the Southern States has NACE to some degree.

I have been informed that there is an acute skills shortage in Western Australia and demand is picking up elsewhere.

I would be interested to hear why you think BGAS Paint Inspector qualifications are superior to NACE though?

Thanks.

I don't want to get into a debate about this. I only answered your question.
First of all i've been a painting inspector for 20 years.
i've worked in many different countries and on may different projects.
In my experience the industry is full of painting inspectors, you just need to go to the middle east, every indian from kerla has a painting inspection qualification, and it's getting that way in the uk, the only difference is they are doing nace rather than bgas, simply because nace are promoting their qualification more than anyone else. The amount of people that i have come accross that are laggers have a nace ticket which leads me to believe that nace are giving out certificates purely to enhance their presence in the market place
