Hairdressing and the 900 TRA?
Hiya
I am so confused with this whole immigration thing. If I study NVQ level 2 and perhaps 3 full time and gain a years work experience would this be enough for a skilled worker? If it only needs 900 hours thats less than a year on a full time contract. The NVQ Level 2 full time I have no idea how many hours. I am not sure if they wanted me to complete this. If not am I meant to have thier qualification they are mentioning?
Any advice for any newly qualified hairdressers, please help.

Hi, i would phone an agent if i was you its free. They will give you all the info you need. The TRA change the rules all the time. I recently passed my TRA this is what i needed.
Formal or Informal apprenticeship i had the latter
900 hrs college training, plus 5 years supervised.
So 7 years in hairdressing before you apply.
Hope this helps

This is weird. I heard a few other hairdressers had done a NVQ level 2 and after 1 years experience were able to get a sponsored. I thought you could apply for PR with this as well.

Hi deanno yes that was for the TRA but you have to pass TRA before you apply for your visa.
You can be sponsored by a salon out in Oz but you would not have a PR visa. If you get sponsored you have to work for that company for 2 years , then after the 2 years they can apply for a PR visa for you.
