Construction Management San Diego

Hi!

I recently moved to San Diego from London with my wife (US citizen). I am a Quantity Surveyor with 5 years experience but am really struggling to get a foot in the door here as an assistant Project manager/superintendent or Estimator....More than willing to specialise in anything I can get a shot at!

Does anyone have any idea of where else I should be looking? I have tried all of the usual job avenues and have sent out over 60 resumes but still nothing!!

Thanks!

Hi Ciaran, did you have any luck with finding a job out there?

I've just qualified as a QS in the U.K. with 5 years experience and was weighing up my options with working abroad and USA is top of that list!

(i) Ciaran made one post more than seven months ago, so is unlikely to see your question, and
(ii) without an employer willing to transfer you there is negligible likelihood of an employer going to the expense (think $5k-$10k including legal fees) of applying for a visa for you.
