world wide wanderers !
Hi all,
We are Steve and Sue , just here to say hello....
We are in our 50s and have sold up in the UK and are now full time house and pet sitting.
Been doing this for about 18 months but only full time this year, quite a few different 'sits' in the UK but lots in France a few others in Spain and Italy
We are currently in Normandy but will be near Malaga for a couple of months from mid December.
Hoping for some useful information from here and look forward to some chats
Bye for now ....

Hi and welcome to the forum Seeing a few folks doing what you are doing. Seems like a neat idea as long as you can get the work.
Think you are finding your way around the forum OK, so shall leave you to it.

We are loving it !
Our 3 kids are now in their 30s and doing well in their own homes and jobs etc...
We've told them we are spending their inheritance wisely on good food and wine, good travelling and they are pleased we are enjoying ourselves, our daughter and boyfriend spent Xmas with us in Dordogne last year and our two sons are coming out to Spain to spend a week with us in February...
We are booked up constantly and have been asked to look after a farmhouse and two gites in the Loire for seven months from March. We've made loads of new friends in a short time ,often going back to the same properties again, so far the most is 3 times in a year to Brittany .
Animals make it all the more interesting with the highest number at one place being 37 !
although there were quite a few chickens as well as 2 dogs , 6 cats,3 horses,2 very big rabbits and 2 very small tortoises!
We now also have ferrets, donkies, goats, ganders and parrots on our CV !!
Any other house sitters out there?
