Working in Zanzibar
Hello All.
I spent 2 months in zanzibar recently and became very familiar with how to rent a no frills apartment there among other details of how one might live as a resident in stonetown in general. I inquired about jobs , but nothing that I was offered seemed stable in the end. I would like to go back and live and work there. Does anyone have suggestions as to how I can find decent paying work? I am a career florist and also have worked at upscale hotels in the past.. Not much floral design work on the island as far as I could tell... Am I wrong about this? I inquired with hotels for open positions but no available positions .. Can anyone suggest a different approach/ a realm of work that might be available to a foreigner .. I would be willing to teach as well if that were an option. Given what I know about cost of living there I would be comfortable with a job that paid around 1,000 usd /month... Obviously something more lucrative would be preferred. Any knowledge is welcome

Hello and welcome to the forum 
I have no idea if we have anyone on this forum living there. I suspect not, but I may be wrong. You can try doing some Searches in the country sections. You never know.
