Visitor visa advice
So I've been a bit of an idiot.....
Here's my situation. My working holiday visa expires on October 1st and I wish to extend my stay for a couple of months to sort stuff out here/do tourism type things.
I've applied for a visitor visa online on the CIC website....here's where my idiocy comes into play. I checked the processing times after I applied.... I had heard that I need to apply at least 30 days before my original visa runs out but it turns out that's only for applications submitted by paper. Online applications take 49 days.....which I don't have (that takes me to about 7th October from when I applied for the visa).
SO my question is.... Am I able to redo my application on paper seeing as I've already applied online? Or am I not allowed to process two applications for the same thing, even if it is purely due to processing it quicker?
OR if I don't bother redoing my application and risk the online application not going through in time, what would my course of action be come October 1st? Could I still go down to the border and cross back into Canada as a visitor without a valid visitor visa?
Sigh.

Hi Laulie,
I see you've already reposted in our Canada forum, so I'm sure someone will be along soon to give your some pointers. In the mean time take some time to read through the other threads and get to know everyone.
Welcome to BE and if you get stuck on anything please don't hesitate to give me a shout.
