Hi British expats!,

Could anyone help me R.E surinder singh??

My husband and I have moved to Ireland. He is a British citizen and I am South African. He is working here, and has been since Feb. We previously applied for a spousal visa for the UK but was rejected based on finances .. We then decided to go the Surinder Singh route.

I have obtained an EU Fam4 residency card. And we are ready to start the process of going to the UK started.

I have read up a lot about it, but unsure of a few things.

1. What application do I need to complete on the visa4uk website? Is it the VAF5 form?

2. I read that the EEA FAM permit is only valid for 6 months? What happens when I get to the UK?

3. How long does the application take to process?

4. Would they refuse my application because I had a previous visa refused?

5. Do I need to submit biometrics? In Ireland is the only place to do this in Dublin? We live in Cork?

Am really stressed out about this process as we are desperate to go back to our family, please help!!.. Cannot deal with the stress of another visa being refused.
