Riyahd, KSA
Just joined this site and duly impressed
I am based in Riyahd and would love to hear from anyone out there to get a feel for the place, is there a social life, etc etc - could be here for 3 to 4 years so it would be nice to get started
Into scuba, football & rugby - also know to play a bit of squash but that was a few years ago & the bones are not what they used to be

We have a lively bunch of people who post in our Middle East Forums. Most people posting in the ME forums are located in Dubai...but there are some members in your neck of the wood. The main forum is for topics relating to the Middle East...the Sand Pit is for general chit chat. There is also an Introduction thread in the Sand Pit...why don't you pop over there and introduce yourself?
If you find yourself a little lost navigating the many BE forums...we have a team of concierges who will direct you around the website. The concierge for the Middle East forums is Blue Cat...please contact her if you need any help.
If you have any problems or concerns please contact a moderator. The mods for the ME forums are Bob, NorthernLad and rowell.
Please shout out if you need any help...there's usually someone around 24/7 to help out.

Welcome to BE and good luck with the move!
There's a few folks in the KSA and quite a few more with experience of working there in the ME section, so I'm sure they'll be able to help you out

Hi Dagryn
I see Jerseygirl has given you the link to our Middle East forum, and it is well worthwhile popping onto there amnd introducing yourself as a way to make some new buddies in KSA. I think you will find some very like minded folks on there to hook up and chat with.
That just leaves me to say welcome to BE and enjoy the forum experience

Hello and a big welcome to BE.
Excellent information can be found in the BE Wiki, not forgetting the Living and Moving Abroad forum that will help you, another set of great help is the permanent threads at the TOP of each forum, they are very pertinent to that particular forum and makes sensible reading.
Moderators deal with any problems that arise such as inappropriate posts, spammers etc, you will find their names at the bottom right hand side of each forum's index in bold font.
Please contact me if I can give you any further help.

Not exactly residing in your current patch of ground. Was very keen on playing footy and rugger, but more of a cricket man myself now that, well, let's just say I'm not 17 any more either.
Welcome to BE,
Best,
