Smile Relocating to Doha

Hi there,
I'm a newbie on this forum - though have been perusing threads on here, and expatwomen and QL too...
I'm getting to final stages for a job in Doha, and my hubby is progressing through a recruitment process too... fingers crossed!
I spent most of my childhood living overseas (central america, africa and asia) so this is a new area to me, and I'm in need of lots of help ... but I'm very much a novice to this board so please be kind!
Many thanks, BG

Hi Berkshire girl

Welcome to BE and congrats on your up and coming job offer.

I see you have already found your way to the Middle East forum so I am sure it won't be long before you are chatting with other expats living and working in Doha, who will be able to offer you lots of useful information and advice to help you through the move.

That just leaves me to wish you all the very best with your move and new jobs

Hi Berkshire Girl. I'm in a similar position to yourself. I'm new to the site.

My family have always lived in abu dhabi but i'm about to move to doha too and have only spent one day there so far. I currently live in hertfordshire. I'd be interested to share anything you learn on how to make our transition easier!! And i'll repay the favour!

I'll be out there for May 6th, let me know where's gonna be good for meeting people if you go there first as i'm keen to get some new friends and feel less like i'm totally on my own. Exciting though isnt it?
