Default Pondering return to UK from France

Hi everyone. New to this forum, lots to read and digest! We are thinking about a possible return to UK from France, not now but at a later date.

OH will receive pension next year, but I've got to wait another 4 years, so this might be a long term plan, plus our two kids who have been brought up in France not keen to return and still need to finish education, find jobs etc.

Still, nothing like preparation, so will be nipping in and out to get some info and other people's experiences. Lot to think about!

Imagine it will be like going to a foreign country all over again. I know that we have a great forum for those returning to the UK and there is the link for it:

Moving back to the UK - British Expats

There is much discussion on the wheres, whys, hows, and whatnots. Looks like the kids are more French than British and will be wanting to remain in French while you and your spouse head back to the UK. At least you only have a channel to cross.

Are you thinking of taking up French citizenship for the whole family before returning to the UK? As Brexit moves nearer, having another EU citizenship can be a good idea.
