new to Riyadh
hi there. My name is Bernard 54 years old and have just arrived in Riyadh for a one year contract. am working close to the Marriott hotel and have just found an apartment in Malaz not far from the Zoo. Here alone so looking forward to meeing new friends. Interests are reading watching nature, scuba diving sailing and walking. Most of which are pretty out of place i suppose given im in the middle of a desert lol. Hail from Dublin by way of London (25YEARS) although been spending a lot of time of late with my lady friend in Lancashire.

Hello Bernard and welcome to the forum
Do pop over to the Middle East section of the forum. You'll find quite a few posters in Saudi on there and, if you have any questions or queries, I'm sure they will help you out. There's also a nice little casual section within the Middle East forum called The Sand Pit... A good place to chit-chat.
Hope the job goes well and is not too gruelling. I imagine its quite hot there at this time.

Hello and a big welcome to BE.
Excellent information can be found in the BE Wiki, not forgetting the Living and Moving Abroad forum that will help you, another set of great help is the permanent threads at the TOP of each forum, they are very pertinent to that particular forum and makes sensible reading.
Moderators deal with any problems that arise such as inappropriate posts, spammers etc, you will find their names at the bottom right hand side of each forum's index in bold font.
