Hello there - welcome, welcome. How's the weather doing up there? I was living in Phuket for a couple of years before moving down to Penang. I miss those curries

I see you've found the Thailand sub-forum already. There's actually a guy called Nonthaburi on there, so maybe he lives close by to you

Enjoy Thailand.

Hi Spirit. Not sure if you are asking me or the other guy. I am retired - started off in Phuket, Thailand - but moved 6 months ago to Penang, Malaysia and so far, so good, apart from a dodgy internet connection.

Im here for 3 weeks initially and if all goes well im staying. I live with my girlfriend orawan, 47, born bangkok, family from hainan china, on prachachuen road, in lumpini ville condos next to tescos/homepro and the mall. She works in sales and marketing for a construction company. Me I retired at 55, now 57, ex army , 25 years, then 15 years as engineer and training manager. Love to here from anyone in the area as in my condo development all uk have left just 2 usa kindergarden teachers, but have made thai friends already. This is a good location to live, pool, steam room, sauna, shopping mall 150m, 80 baht to bang sue or chatchuak, very good security team and lots of cameras, good internet, rent 8500-10000 if you have a local contact, clean, well maintained.
drop me a line I might just stay a long time
